Born on St. Maarten to Dominican parents, Ms. Ishka Jose is currently the Chief Compliance Officer for Marine Management and Consulting and its group of companies, as well as the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director, Mr. Jeff Boyd. Her role at MMC entails overseeing all legal and administrative matters for MMC. Acting as a point of contact between management of all companies and the CEO, providing oversight and guidance to all matters mentioned above and approving policies developed within functions and departments.  Ishka holds an Associate’s degree in Information Technology, a Bachelor of Science degree, concentrating in Public Administration and Political Science and a minor in Urban and Regional Planning from the Florida State University.

For the past 10 years, specifically during her bachelor studies, Ishka underwent the experience of developing a diverse network with people from all over the world; she has held the position of a chairman in several organizations, such as: the National Council of Negro Women Inc, the Dominican Student Association, the Caribbean Student Association and much more. As a result, under the supervision of many, she was also able to build a strong and very broad resume as a legal consultant and legal paralegal for major companies on the island of St. Maarten and in the United States. Outside of work, Ishka is a full-time mother to a one-year old and philanthropist on the island. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and immediate family, reading, and exploring the island of St. Maarten.  She states that “her mother is her biggest inspiration, her role model and the reason that she strives for success”. She takes pride in coming from a very family-oriented household and for being the first child to graduate from college in her family. Her ultimate goal is to provide more growth and learning opportunities to everyone around her, including at work and in her personal life, display humility and to always leave people and places better than how she found them.
